Not sure about West Ham but I think most PL teams now stay in hotels the night before, unless it's an evening game. Read something about Lampard ditching the policy at Chelsea so that players could spend more time with their families. He was sacked shortly afterwards.

5 of MATES + other halves had a weekend in Liverpool a few years back... stayed at the Hope Hotel... got ready to go out the Fri evening and we bump into the LFC coach pulling up... few fans waiting outside... had a chat with Klopp and a few of the NON British players (they just fucked off as quick as possible not even giving the kids a autograph or photo... something Klopp was not too happy about)... anyway been a practice for them for years to get together the day before every home game... as the security told us at 2am in the hotel bar it's more of a case of keeping an eye on them all...

When did the practice of the players arriving together by coach start. About 20 years ago, I would sometimes take my boy around to the players car park at Upton Park to watch the players arrive and hope to get a few autographs. Did this only change with the move to the London Stadium. And where do they meet up now? Or do teams spend the night before a home game in a hotel these days?

Goal of the season :) lovely surprise. Man U caught Spursy, wheels are falling off at the wrong time of the season.
The mention of Kehrer had his best game for WHU kept Rashford in his pocket so much so that he changed wings. Long may he keep this standard up. That said all the players put in a massive shift and were rewarded with the lfortune to win the game.

Kehrer and Aguerd were immense
closely followed by Rice and Paqueta
But whole team were superb, missed the atmosphere of everyone buzzing walking out of there after a big win. Long overdue, all eggs in the Europa Conference basket now

Following on from the ridiculous MotD Man Utd highlights, I notice there was a ridiculous article on BBC sport about the Premier league's 'best penalty takers'.
Dicks is on there, but the photo of him is in a Liverpool shirt.
"A no-nonsense defender, Julian Dicks was often entrusted with taking spot-kicks wherever he played. He scored 15 penalties in the Premier League, enjoying a successful career - most notably at Liverpool and West Ham"
They truly are fucking idiots.

I didn’t really enjoy watching them last few minutes.
After witnessing Ince, Van Persie and Schweinsteiger scoring late equalisers over the past years, I was expecting the same!
Well deserved win in the end

Their fans were absolutely devastated. Never seen them so meek. there were a couple clapping us at the end so fair play but it was one of the best atmosphere's you'll get at a premier league game so....

Soucek was probably just offside, but on my TV feed, the only angle they froze the picture seemed to be near the half way line, which would have made an onside Soucek look offside. I would have liked them to get a better angle and draw lines.
We won, so fuck it. It won’t spoil my enjoyment. I fucking love beating those cunts, and all the sweater that it was probably the win to secure safety.

Good analysis of a couple of key moments, we don’t seem to be getting important decisions eg potential pen against Liverpool as well and another offside goal against Liverpool; players need to try harder to stay onside!

No great shakes, but we could still only manage 35% possession against them, and they had 4 more shots than us.
I do understand everyone getting carried away though, bound to after this absolute fucking disaster of a season.

Excellent evening with an exuberant crowd creating probably the best atmosphere this season. A pretty comprehensive 1-0 victory, deserved and no robbery.
We played well as a team and I don’t wish to detract from our victory but truly this ManU team is no great shakes. It would not surprise me if ManU get elbowed out of a CL place by Liverpool.
The thing that really grates, as has been mentioned, is match after match there are penalty box incidents occurring and because of the inconsistency of interpretation we have no idea what the verdict will be. Soucek was clearly albeit narrowly offside, no problem. The Antonio goal we have seen given this season and the handball was clearly a penalty. Three nil might have flattered us but it would not have been undeserved.
